I haven’t posted for some time.
Not making excuses, but there’s been a lot going on, and posting here has gone by the wayside, which is my fault entirely.
That’s the thing about being an indie author — when things don’t happen, the responsibility for almost everything that happens (positive or negative) is yours!
Anyway, what have I been up to?
Well, apart from working on making our dog, Lua, less anxious (she was a very nervous rescue dog when we first adopted her, and she’s still nervous of lots of things now), I’ve written a standalone family fiction book, which will be published in July, and I’ve started a spin-off cozy mystery series set in Bliss Bay, where my series, The Bliss Bay Village Mysteries is also set. More news on that later.
I’ve also updated the covers of my Charlotte Denver series, because I’ve had the same ones for almost ten years and they were looking very dated. The new covers are a completely different style, but more in keeping with current trends. They’re not your usual cozy mystery covers, but I love them, and I hope readers will, too.

Also, I’ve joined TikTok which, contrary to popular belief, isn’t just for trendy young things! I’m just getting started, and am using it to (hopefully) reach new readers. If you’d like to follow me, you can find me here: https://www.tiktok.com/@sherribryanwriter
I’ll follow you back, of course, but I’ve found that TikTok has a habit of letting you follow someone, and the next day, you’ve mysteriously unfollowed them. If that happens, please now it’s not me doing it.
